Karp is a motivational speaker who speaks about living with a disability, promotes disability awareness and encourages people to achieve their potential. Karp has been living &#8212; fully &#8212; with a T12 spinal cord injury since 1973 when he fell from a tree. The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation sponsor him.
