The Alec Thorpe Academic Achievement award is given annually to the candidate taking the Canadian National Certification Exam and achieving the highest passing mark for that calendar year.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Zavala accepted employment at Toronto General Hospital upon his graduation in May 2013 and has been employed in Toronto until March, 2015. Ryan has returned to Omaha for employment as a clinical perfusionist at Nebraska Medicine.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3883\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2015\/04\/devin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3883\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-3883\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2015\/04\/devin-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Devin Eilers\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2015\/04\/devin-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2015\/04\/devin-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.unmc.edu\/alliedhealth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2015\/04\/devin.jpg 325w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3883\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Devin Eilers<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Clinical Perfusion Education student, Mr. Devin Eilers, was awarded a $500 scholarship plus travel expenses for delivery of his and Mr. Holt&#8217;s research, <em>Emboli Production in Hardshell Venous Reservoirs at Low Reservoir Levels<\/em> at the 53<sup>rd<\/sup> International Conference at the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology (AmSECT) in Tampa, Florida, April 14-18, 2015. He was selected as one of 10 US Clinical Perfusion students based on merit ratings of blinded abstract submissions.
