In this unique case, from a very competitive field, they had a tie and thus are honoring both Dr. Hanson and another author, Dr. Cyndi Thomson.<\/p>\n<p>The award, bestowed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation, is named for Mary Pascoe Huddleson, Editor of the Journal from 1927 to 1946. The award carries a modest honorarium, and the winners are invited to attend the Foundation dinner at the Food &amp; Nutrition Conference &amp; Expo (FNCE), this year to be held in Philadelphia, PA in October 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Hanson&#8217;s achievement will also be formally recognized in the October 2012 issue of the Journal.
