In 2006, he participated in the inaugural class of the Summer Medical and Dental Education Program, a six-week summer academic enrichment program that offers undergraduates intensive and personalized medical and dental school preparation. He then graduated from the UNMC School of Allied Health Profession&#8217;s Radiation Science Technology Education program before pursuing a medical degree.
