The NPHL at UNMC hosted the national conference for the Association of Public Health Labs in Omaha at the Qwest Center on June 5-8. Over 450 participants from all 50 states, 6 foreign countries and 2 territories were registered. The APHL Senior Meeting Specialist commented that, “we have the largest registration numbers ever…..Who knew Omaha would draw numbers like that? Not me!” Great PR for Omaha and UNMC!
I had the opportunity to be part of the excellent Skake -a-Thon experience on campus …It was an evening filled with the values UNMC holds..Support ,without Miss Nebraska ,Jr Lancers Hockey team , UNMC friends, and the fence I would not have been able to skate with out falling… Commitment… gave me a sense of being a part of something special ,as I observed how the UNMC community, worked together collaboratively and with the community at large… This event truely exemplied UNMC Spirit at it’s best.
Amazing co-workers Annette Lewin and Lindsey Chappell. These ladies keep the ENT clinic at the DOC running like clockwork. They schedule ad reschedule with decorum and extreme patience. Thank you for making this a pleasant place to work.
Emily Ziskovsky and Karin Carlson are VITAL to me. The knowledge, expertise, support and technical assistance they provide the UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute touches every employee each and every day. Grace under tremendous pressure best describes how they face the challenges of such a diverse working environment! Thank you for all you do!
