Nebraska Neuroscience Symposium

On behalf of Dr. Thomas F. Murray, Associate Vice President for Health Science Research, please note the following invitation to register for the Nebraska Neuroscience Symposium:

With the federal government’s investment of $100 million for neuroscience research at the National Institutes of Health, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the National Science Foundation, neuroscience is set to experience unprecedented federal funding support. This support emerged from significant research progress in past and present, and you are invited to learn about some of this research at the Nebraska Neuroscience Symposium on Thursday, October 3rd. Twelve preeminent neuroscientists from across the country will share their latest findings and investigations on topics that range from the regulation of individual neurons to human brain imaging and cognitive neuroscience. You and your research team are invited to attend and present your research at the poster session that concludes the day.

Poster Registration: Once registered for the conference, you will be prompted with instructions on how to separately register a poster with an abstract. A poster presentation is not required to attend the Symposium.

2014 NRI Faculty Research Proposals RFP Released

The Nebraska Research Initiative Faculty Research Program call for proposals for 2014 has been released.  The purpose of this request for faculty research proposals is to encourage economic growth through specifically targeted research programs.  Submitted proposals must represent collaborative teams.  Please see www.unmc.edu/vcr/funding for details.
