Impact in Nebraska of the Supreme Court Decision on Health Law

Public Health in the National News – On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, with the majority opinion that Congress has the authority to use the taxing power endowed by the Constitution to impose the individual mandate. Public Health in the National News – A delegation from UNMC’s EMPOWER project was among 15 student groups honored by President Barack Obama on March 15 at the White House. EMPOWER was established in 2008 as a partnership with the Women’s Center for Advancement and the Service-Learning Academy of the UNMC College of Public Health (COPH). Building Research Capacity on the Rez
