Due to the publisher’s processing issues, JAMA and the Archives journals are temporarily unavailable. The library does subscribe to the titles in print and any requests through McGoogan Docs will be processed free of charge during this downtime.
We apologize for any issues this may cause you.
TDNet, the company that hosts the library’s Online Journal Finder, will be conducting server maintenance on Saturday, December 31. There may be times when this interface is not available. That includes the GetIt@UNMC and Check For Full-Text links in our databases.
Full-text journals can still be accessed during this downtime by searching for the journal title in the Helix Library Catalog. If you wish to order an article, you can access the order form from the green tab on any library webpage.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The Order Articles / McGoogan Docs web forms are currently available for ordering. However, access to PDFs that you have ordered is not yet possible from this site. All newly received PDFs will be emailed to the address designated in your McGoogan Docs account. If you need to access a PDF that should be available in your PDF table, please call (402-559-7085) or email (email@example.com) and we will email the PDF to you.
We are currently experiencing an unexpected interruption in the Order Articles/McGoogan Docs interface. If you have a Rush request or if you need to access a PDF that is already in your account, please call the Interlibrary Loan Department (402-559-7085) for assistance. For regular requests during this downtime, you can email the citations to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your full name if not emailing from your Lotus Notes account. If you do not have a McGoogan Docs account, we will need to get in contact with you to establish that account.
We deeply apologize for this inconvenience and hope to have the system running as soon as possible.
The McGoogan Docs Order Articles system will be undergoing system maintenance on Sunday December 18 from 0600 – 1200. There may be intermittent interruptions later throughout the afternoon, as well.
MICROMEDEX will be unavailable on Friday, December 9 between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. for scheduled maintenance. If you need drug information during that time, please use Clinical Pharmacology.
Due to a modification to PubMed search algorithms, an inadvertent issue has occurred. Some terms are being translated incorrectly; thus the search statement and results are not entirely accurate. PubMed is aware of the situation and is working on the problem.
If the search strategy that you entered does not match the Showing results for search statement, you will need to click on the Search this instead search statement. For instance, in the graphic below, we entered splenic into the search box. PubMed translated that term into splenica (black bolded). You can see the correct form of the word in the Search instead for hyperlinked search statement. Clicking on that link will give you the results for the correct search statement.
This mistranslation may not occur for all searches. If your search statement is bolded, chances are the mistranslation occurred and you should click the suggested statement.
If you have questions or problems, please contact the Reference Desk at 402-559-6221 or email@example.com.
