New Digital Backfile Content Available: Annual Reviews, AJP, Annals of NYAS

Posted by on October 25th, 2012

In the interest of saving space in the library and improving access to online content, the library has researched options for the purchase of the digital backfiles of highly used journals.  Of particular interest are journals whose print volumes take up a large amount of space on the library’s shelves.

In addition to the Nature, Cell Press, and Science Direct backfiles that the library has purchased over the last several years, the archives of the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences
(1877-2005), the Annual Reviews Biomedical Collection, and all sections of American Journal of Physiology have been added to the library’s digital collection.  These backfiles are now available through the library’s catalog, journals a-z list, and GetIt@UNMC buttons in Pubmed.

Acquisition of the Annals of the New York Academy of Science was made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the McGoogan Library.  American Journal of Physiology backfiles and Annual Review publications were supported by a one-time payment of UNMC  student library fees.
