Create a rule to forward email to a text message

Question: I would like to be notified by text message for a certain sender. Can I create a rule to do that?

Answer: It is possible to forward an email to a text message address, but for security purposes, the ability to create a rule to automatically forward email to outside accounts has been disabled by UNMC. However, you can set rules to add sounds, desktop alerts, flags or categories so that those messages stand out. Just go to Rules (from the ribbon) > Create, and click Advanced Options and go through the Rules wizard to identify conditions, actions and exceptions.

Outlook on the Mac has limited features available using Rules.
