1) To educate future health care providers in specific healthcare needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) patients in order to provide the best possible care to GLBT patients, an underserved population in the state of Nebraska

2) To promote the health of GLBT providers, healthcare workers, and students through education.

3)  To promote the acceptance of GLBT health care students, physicians and other healthcare professionals by increasing awareness among medical and lay communities of our presence and by supporting anti-discrimination measures which will enable GLBT physicians to practice medicine for the benefit of society.

4)  To provide support to GLBT health care students, physicians, and other healthcare professionals by offering a safe atmosphere for socialization and by respecting the needs of many GLBT professionals for privacy and confidentiality.
