Student Health Insurance
In addition to the Student Health Clinic services (Fund B), UNMC requires full-time students to have in-patient/major medical health insurance. The University has contracted Macori, Inc. to provide this coverage. For those students already covered, students should fill out an insurance waiver prior to the beginning of the semester.
The UNMC insurance plan is covered in detail at an insurance talk sponsored by the Graduate Student Association each fall given by Pat Oberlander. She is always happy to answer all your questions and will help you fill out forms if you need them. You can contact her at 559-7276 or at poberlander@unmc.edu.
Detailed information about the Macori plan can be found at Macori website.
A copy of the 2010-2011 Policy is available in pdf format
