Walk Audits with Metro Area Planning Agency

Communications and Marketing Student Internship

The Alzheimer’s Association is seeking an intern 10-30 hours per week. The internship program is designed to give participants firsthand experience in community engagement and relationship building, with special attention focused on efforts to increase concern and awareness about Alzheimer’s disease with the Communications and Marketing Department.  The Communications and Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting with tasks to support creative services, marketing/social media, media development and engagement and public relations efforts.

DCHD Volunteers for NEMS Assessment

The Douglas County Health Department is preparing to conduct the Nutrition Environment Measures Survey (NEMS) assessment in local retail food outlets (grocery and convenience stores). This will be the fourth assessment since 2009. The NEMS assessment is important to evaluate access to healthy foods among Douglas County residents.
