AHEC Program Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of the Nebraska Area Health Education Center (AHEC) program, the AHEC Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation, and assessment of programs for the Nebraska AHEC Program, including the NE AHEC Scholars Program, undergraduate pre-health workshops, and other community outreach and education projects. This includes supporting the AHEC Centers to plan, promote, implement all components required of the Nebraska AHEC Scholars Program, and the overarching HRSA objectives. Additionally, this position assists in developing and maintaining the evaluative requirements of each program as assigned by the Deputy Director. The AHEC Program Coordinator is expected to use effective communication to ensure the success of the Nebraska AHEC Scholars Program and other AHEC training/meeting opportunities. The position is crucial to support the achievement of the statewide Nebraska Area Health Education Center (AHEC) program’s mission and ensure its continued success. 
This position works closely with other AHEC, UNMC, and external contacts to support the complex programmatic and administrative activities of the program.

Head Start Health Specialist Region VII

ICF seeks a Health Specialist to work as a liaison between the Regional and Central Office of Head Start (OHS) and the National Center on Health and Wellness, as well as other agencies relevant to the work of the Regional Office.  

The Health Specialist will serve as a resource to other Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Specialists on comprehensive health services, including mental health and environmental health and safety, in accordance with the requirements of the Head Start Program Performance Standards across the birth to five spectrums.

This position is home-based in one of the Regional states (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas) and extensive travel will be required to fulfill the duties of the position.   Travel will be within the assigned ACF region as well as to the Washington, D.C. metro area.
