LGBT HealthLink: the Network for Health Equity is one of eight CDC-funded tobacco and cancer disparity networks charged with convening experts, culling then spreading best practices to eliminate health disparities for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) population. As a project of CenterLink: The Community of LGBT Centers, we work extensively with the 180+ LGBT community centers across the country. As a CDC-grantee, we work extensively with CDC grantees, especially the state, tribal, and territorial departments of health. Our core activities center around increasing adoption of tobacco & cancer best practices by community centers and departments of health.

We are seeking candidates to join our organization. The opportunities available are Project Administrator and Evaluator (see the job descriptions in the documents below). Agricultural Safety Educator

PUBLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATE PROGRAM (PHAP) is a 2-year entry-level, full-time employment and career development training program designed to prepare recent graduates hands-on, frontline experience in the day-to-day operations of public health programs. You must be a recent graduate (GPA 3.0) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree beginning a career in public health. Upon successful completion of the program, PHAP associates are qualified to compete for entry-level career positions at CDC and other public health organizations. Post-doctoral position in Tobacco Control

The Center for Tobacco Studies at the Rutgers University School of Public Health is excited to announce the availability of a post-doctoral position in tobacco control. Eligible candidates should have a doctoral degree in public health, behavioral science, health services research, sociology, anthropology, psychology, or a related discipline. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and strong training in applied research. The Douglas County Health Department is seeking a Supervisor for STD Control efforts. Incumbent works under the direction of a Division Chief or designee, and is accountable for the coordination and direction of the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Control Section.  The incumbent leads staff in the STD Control Section in documenting and analyzing infection patterns while promoting education of individuals regarding communicable diseases and assisting affected individuals in locating appropriate resources and treatment.   Incumbent supervises activities of assigned staff and ensures adherence to applicable policies and procedures.    Perform other related duties as assigned.
