Summer Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP)

This is the 13th year of the Occupational Health Internship Program (OHIP), a field-based learning experience in occupational safety and health. Teams of two students are placed with labor unions or community-based organizations to work on projects that investigate job-related health and safety issues among workers, often of new immigrant groups, employed in an under-served or a high hazard job. The Douglas County Health Department is seeking a Supervisor for STD Control efforts. Incumbent works under the direction of a Division Chief or designee, and is accountable for the coordination and direction of the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Control Section.  The incumbent leads staff in the STD Control Section in documenting and analyzing infection patterns while promoting education of individuals regarding communicable diseases and assisting affected individuals in locating appropriate resources and treatment.   Incumbent supervises activities of assigned staff and ensures adherence to applicable policies and procedures.    Perform other related duties as assigned.

Reporting to the President, the Associate to the President/Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Diversity, Access and Inclusion provides leadership in developing and implementing policies, programs and efforts to enhance access, inclusion and retention of a diverse student body, faculty and staff for the University of Nebraska. Particular emphasis shall be given to leading the assessment of high-impact strategies, programs and activities to promote diversity, access and inclusion across the university in the three mission areas of teaching, research and service.
