NAP SACC Workshop Volunteers needed (Live Well Omaha Kids)

Workshop Dates: Sept 9; Sept 23; Oct 21

Live Well Omaha Kids’ NAP SACC Learning Collaborative trains and supports child care providers to assess and improve their nutrition and physical activity practices.  Through 4 workshops and one-on-one technical assistance child care providers are trained in best practices for developing children’s healthy eating and physical activity behaviors for a lifetime.

Workshops are held from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Bergan Mercy Hospital on the following dates:

Workshop 1 – complete – August 26, 2014

Workshop 2 – September 9, 2014

Workshop 3 – September 23, 2014

Workshop 4 – October 21, 2014

Live Well Omaha Kids needs volunteer support to ensure these workshops maximize the time with child care providers and offer them the best experience possible.  Volunteer assignments include assisting participants at check-in, passing out materials throughout the workshop to participants, managing the clock during timed activities, assisting child care providers in forming action plans for healthy change. COPH students have volunteered with these workshops in the past and had a great time!

If interested in volunteering to support these workshops, please contact Arli Boustead at 402.215.3721 or
