The Department of Health and Human Services Division of Medicaid and Long Term Care is seeking a Program Manager for our Data and Quality team. This team analyzes Medicaid data in areas of enrollment, eligibility, managed care, quality of health care measures, utilization and other statistical analysis as required. The unit is responsible for data accuracy, data validation, data comparison and data reporting.
Under limited supervision, responsible for the management and oversight of the Medicaid data analysis program within the Department of Health and Human Services. Performs activities necessary to plan, organize, direct and evaluate the activities in the Medicaid data analysis through the supervision of program staff; manages resources necessary to complete assigned data analysis; develops operating policies, procedures and objectives within regulatory guidelines; coordinates data analysis work with other Department Divisions and with Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, education, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field and experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluating program functions or supervising/management staff and budgets. Related coursework, training and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for year basis.
PREFER: Candidate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a supervisor and/or manager in a health care related industry; 3-5 years’ experience in data analysis, data management and data reporting; 3-5 years’ experience working with data bases and computer software to generate data queries and reports.
