Public Health Educator

Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s Bureau of Health Promotion is recruiting for a Public Health Educator position will help educate the general public on cardiovascular disease, stroke, and diabetes prevention programs and develop and maintain effective community-clinical linkages for chronic disease prevention and management programs.  Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Biology, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.  The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Public Health or related degree.  Prefer two years of experience in public health education or chronic disease prevention education and control programs, especially with a focus on cardiovascular disease and diabetes.  Additional information on minimum and preferred qualifications may be found in the state job posting under Requisition # 176212 (note that the job title in the listing reads Public Health Educator).
