The Medica Research Institute, established in 2010 as an ‘academic-like’ setting of investigator-driven health services research, is seeking accomplished individuals with a documented publication record in the following areas:  Health behavior and promotion, epidemiologic methods, population health, health disparities / health equity, social and environmental determinants of health, and behavioral risk factors.

Our research agenda is composed of three main themes:  Consumer Engagement, Healthy Communities and Health Care Delivery. Our mission is to conduct research that generates valid and meaningful evidence-based information for timely translation into activities that promote health and improve lives for all populations.  

Qualifications:   Must possess a terminal degree (Ph. D. Pharm. D. or M.D.), requiring a research based thesis in public health, epidemiology, or health services research, and a minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience as a scientific investigator on research grants or contracts.  Individuals should have a proven track record of securing public funding to conduct their research, serving as principal investigator and/or co-investigator on their most recently funded projects.  Strong skills in research design and quantitative methods.
