The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public Health is looking for a Program Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is action oriented and has strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Example Work: Research, review, and write regulations, legislative proposals, reports, and other documents specific to the licensure, inspection, and complaint investigation of Child Care, Children’s Residential Facilities, Child Placing Agencies, and Health Care Facilities and Services. Complete special projects on licensure, remote access inspections, strategic planning, needs assessment, and disaster or continuity of operation planning. Prepare and deliver presentations, review inspection reports, develop compliance guides, and other regulatory documents.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent coursework/training in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare or human services or professional experience working in a human/social service or health care agency with responsibility for planning or evaluating services, programs or operational policies and practices.
PREFERRED: Bachelors or Masters degree in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare or human services or a related field. Experience writing regulations, statutes, policies and procedures, director/administrator of licensed program, and/or regulatory administration. Experience working with the public, including public speaking; experience with maintaining confidentiality. Computer training or on the job experience with databases, word processing and electronic mail.
