This is a supervisory-level position with the State Probation Administration, primarily responsible for a full-range of evidence-based programs and services for clients in the community. Work includes interpreting policies and procedures; training reporting center staff within a day/evening reporting center; maintaining office records ensuring standards are met; participating in purchase of services, equipment and contractual services; negotiating and monitoring contracts with community service providers; supervising program activities; managing and developing with other agencies various client services.
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from 4-year College with major course work in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social work or related field.
PREFERRED: Experience in mental health, substance abuse or correctional field including some supervisory experience.
KSA: Knowledge of economic, emotional, educational, occupational, and social factors which influence clients; knowledge of individual and group dynamics applicable to staff and clients; working knowledge of supervisory principles and practices; knowledge of behavioral health and related problems; ability to act promptly in a wide range of crisis situations; ability to collect and analyze data; ability to advocate for program needs, objectives, and clientele.
