The Medicaid Quality Research Analyst will be responsible for developing quality studies; defining and evaluating data problems and objectives to improve the reliability and validity of conclusions; collecting and analyzing program data to provide the basis for agency decision making and assessment of the effectiveness of agency program and services; designing and conducting data validation studies to ensure the methods of data collection, analysis, and reporting are accurate; constructing tables, graphs, charts and other tabular or illustrative material to provide graphic summaries and enhance comprehension of data; and responding to inquiries about technical interpretation and validity limitations of data, reports, and trends which are pertinent to assigned areas of responsibility.
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework/training in research design, sampling techniques and statistics or program evaluation. PLUS experience performing or providing technical support for others performing research or statistical analysis.
PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, mathematics, or psychology and at least one year experience with data collection and analysis including designing and conducting data validation studies and constructing tables, charts, and graphs to summarize data.
