As a member of the NE DHHS’ Medicaid Quality Unit, the Medicaid Quality Analyst will develop quality goals and objectives; supervise quality studies to improve the reliability and validity of data gathered; utilize program data and quality study results to create graphical representations of the analyzed information for agency staff, officials of other organizations, and the public; collect and analyze program data to develop recommendations and corrective action plans; and maintain knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and industry rules regulations, policies, and procedures in order to review, analyze, and provide comments on proposed legislation.
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework/training in program evaluation, financial analysis, and research techniques. AND experience performing or leading others in program and technical support, research, or statistical analysis.
PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, or health management with three or more years’ experience researching, analyzing, and interpreting regulation and policy documents and designing, conducting, evaluating, and presenting quality studies.
