NE DHHS is seeking a Program Specialist to provide program coordination for the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Program. Assure compliance with State and Federal requirements; act as a resource for other staff, clients and providers regarding Behavioral Health and Substance Use Program. Conduct research and attend meetings to address areas of concern and needs. Will serve as a subject matter expert for Behavioral Health and Substance Use Services in regard to system change requests. Will have knowledge of regulations, review, analyze, and responsible for implementing requirements of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Serve as a liaison with various federal and state authorities, agency staff, and divisional personnel.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or equivalent coursework/training in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health care or human services or professional experience working in a human/social service or health care agency with responsibility for planning or evaluating services, programs or operational policies and practices.
