Air Handling Units 3A & 3B and Exhaust Fans 1A, 1B, & 1C

UNMC’s Facility Management and Planning department has scheduled a shutdown in DRC-2 for Saturday, February 9, 2013, from 7:00am until 5:00pm.  This will affect the fume hoods and bio-safety cabinets on Level LA –  Animal areas only!

There will be no air flow in all fume hoods and individual hoods will go into alarm!

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Joe Clark at 559-1356.  Since it is vital that everyone in the animal areas of DRC-2 be aware of the shutdown, please  mention it to your colleagues.

EXHAUST FANS – 2A, 2B and 2C SHUTDOWN

UNMC’s Preventive Maintenance Shop will shutdown exhaust fans 2A, 2B and 2C on Monday, February 4, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. (approximately).  This will affect the fume hoods and bio-safety cabinets in the following rooms:

Wittson Hall / McGoogan Library (All Levels)

Domestic Hot and Cold Water Shutdown

On Wednesday, January 30, 2013, the domestic hot and cold water will be turned off in the Wittson Hall / McGoogan Library building.  This shutdown will affect all the hot and cold water to all restrooms, water fountains, kitchens and labs on all levels of the building.

This shutdown is necessary, so that UNMC’s Plumbing Shop can install water isolation valves on level 3. 

Shutdown Schedule:

Start Time:    Wednesday, January 30, 2013, @ 10:00pm

End Time:     Thursday, January 31, 2013 @ 5:00am (approximately)

If anyone has questions regarding this closure, please contact Mark Sjogren at 402-559-4505 as soon as possible. Since it is vital that everyone working in the building be aware of the shut-off, please mention it to your colleagues.

LIED TRANSPLANT CENTER (LTC)

AIR HANDLING UNITS 5A AND 5B – SHUTDOWN

The Preventive Maintenance Shop has scheduled a shutdown of Air Handling Units 5A and 5B on Friday, January 18, 2013, from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. (approximately).  The purpose of the AHU’s shutdown is so that the Preventive Maintenance Shop can conduct the quarterly equipment checks, and filter changes.

This shutdown will affect the air flow to all hoods and Bio-safety Cabinets located on the 11th and 12th floors including rooms 11726 and 11726A.

Air flow in all fume hoods and Bio-safety cabinets will be reduced and individual hoods may go into alarm.

If you have any questions, please contact Joe Clark at 559-1356.  Since it is vital that everyone working in the Lied Transplant Center be aware of the shutdown, please  mention it to your colleagues.
