ELECTRICAL POWER INTERRUPTION
On Friday, January 30, 2015, from 12:01 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. there will be an electrical panel shutdown in the 11th floor (penthouse) of Eppley Science Hall. This shutdown is for prep work to install a new speed drive for Air Handling Unit – 2.
The effects of this outage in ESH are calculated as follows:
- AHU-2 will be off, which means no room ventilation supply air to levels 7 thru 11.
- Lab exhausted fume hoods from levels 7 thru 11 may be inoperable due to the lack of building supply air.
- Local fume hood alarms may sound if you leave your hood sash open, or attempt to open during this time frame.
- No house vacuum for levels 7 thru 11.
There will be power to all other equipment in the ESH building; and the heat pumps on levels 7 thru 10 will be operating to help maintain climate control of the spaces.
For safety purposes please close/cap all chemicals and reagents in your hoods and close all hood sashes before leaving the building on Thursday January 29, 2015.
