Air Handling Unit 7 — Shutdown
The FM&P Strategic Energy group has scheduled a shutdown of Air Handling Unit 7 in the Wittson Hall building. AHU-7 is to be taken off the current system and put on the new Siemens heating and cooling system. This shutdown will affect the Gross Anatomy area on Level 2 – Only!

AIR HANDLING UNITS 5A AND 5B – SHUTDOWN
The FM&P Operations and Maintenance department has scheduled a shutdown of Air Handling Units 5A and 5B on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. (approximately). The purpose of the shutdown is to conduct the annual equipment checks, and filter changes.
Air flow in all fume hoods and Bio-safety cabinets will be reduced and individual hoods may go into alarm.

STEAM INTERRUPTION (All Levels)
On Monday, October 28, 2013, there will be a steam interruption (shut off) to the College of Pharmacy building on all levels. This interruption will affect all domestic hot water to all kitchens, labs and bathrooms as well as all sterilizers in the building. Also, this interruption might impact some temperature controls in the COP building, but it should be very minimal. This interruption is necessary, so that Facilities Management and Planning can replace the steam pressure reducing valve (PRV).

On Wednesday evening, October 2, 2013, UNMC Facilities will be conducting testing and maintenance activities involving the Fire Alarm System on Level 5 of Wittson Hall. The work will commence at 5:30 PM and continue for approximately 8 hours. During this time, the Fire Alarm audio messages and Strobe signals will be activated throughout the 5th Floor. You do not need to evacuate the area, when this disruption occurs. The audible and visual devices on other floors will not be activated during this work.
Please be aware that while traveling in the stairs or the elevators, persons may hear the Fire Alarm messages from Level 5. In the event that there is an emergency in the building during these work activities, all floors will be notified.

EMERGENCY ELECTRICAL POWER INTERRUPTION
On Tuesday, September 17, 2013, there will be a brief interruption (shut off) of emergency electrical power (red receptacles outlets) on all levels of Poynter Hall. During this time, all normal power will be on.
Commence Time: Tuesday, September 17, 2013 @ 9:00 p.m.
Completion Time: Tuesday, September 17, 2013, @ 9:10 p.m Approximately
This shut off is required to allow the Electrical Shop to install new fuses. This power outage may affect stair tower lighting, cab lighting in the elevator, fire alarm system power, egress lighting power, cadaver body cooler and card access attached to egress routes. Telecomm closets may also lose power. This interruption should last no more than ten minutes.
