UPDATED SCHEDULE: Inspection and Testing of Campus Fire Alarm Systems

Testing will continue from November 19, 2013 through November 21, 2013.

Testing will be performed with audible alarms sounding and all visible “strobe” alarms flashing throughout the building.  You do not need to evacuate your area, when this interruption occurs.

Buildings will be tested as per the following schedule:

Time:             between 6:00pm and 6:00am all audible/visuals will be tested
Buildings:     Durham Research Center 1, Annex 15,  Durham Research  Center 2

Date:              Tuesday, November 19, 2013
Time:              between 12:01am and 6:00am all audible/visuals will be tested
Buildings:     Wittson Hall

Date:               Wednesday, November 20, 2013
Time:              between 12:01am and 6:00am all audible/visuals will be tested
Buildings:      Student Life Center

Date:              Wednesday, November 20, 2013
Time:              between 12:01am and 6:00am all audible/visuals will be tested
Buildings:     Eppley Science Hall, Michael Sorrell Center

Date:              Thursday, November 21, 2013
Time:              between 9:00am and 3:00pm all audible/visuals will be tested
Buildings:     International House, 602 Student Apartments, 608 Student Apartments

WITTSON HALL / McGOOGAN LIBRARY BUILDING

Air Handling Unit 7 —  Shutdown

The FM&P Strategic Energy group has scheduled a shutdown of Air Handling Unit 7 in the Wittson Hall building.  AHU-7 is to be taken off the current system and put on the new Siemens heating and cooling system.   This shutdown will affect the Gross Anatomy area on Level 2 – Only

Shutdown Schedule:
Commence Time:      Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 7:00am
Completion Time:     Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 7:00pm (Approximately)

LIED TRANSPLANT CENTER (LTC)

AIR HANDLING UNITS 5A AND 5B – SHUTDOWN

The FM&P Operations and Maintenance department has scheduled a shutdown of Air Handling Units 5A and 5B on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. (approximately).  The purpose of the shutdown is to conduct the annual equipment checks, and filter changes.

Air flow in all fume hoods and Bio-safety cabinets will be reduced and individual hoods may go into alarm.
