Eppley Cancer Institute (All Levels)

ELECTRICAL POWER INTERRUPTION

On Tuesday, June 4, 2013, there will be an extended interruption (shut off) of normal electrical power to the main electrical switchboard that serves all levels of Eppley Cancer Institute.  During this time, all normal power to Eppley Cancer Institute will be disconnected and only items connected to the emergency power supply will remain energized.  When normal power is disconnected, all general office lighting, PC’s, receptacle outlets, HVAC equipment, refrigerators, ultra-low freezers, etc. will be without power.  Only items connected to the emergency power supply will be energized.  Note, however, there will be a momentary outage of 5 to 30 seconds as the automatic transfer switches transfer from the “normal” to “emergency” source.

This shut off is required as part of the commissioning efforts of the renovation of Eppley Cancer Institute.

Disruption Schedule:

Start  Time:        Tuesday, June 4, 2013, @ 6:00 a.m. (0600 hrs.)

End Time:          Tuesday, June 4, 2013, @ 7:30 a.m. (0730 hrs.) Approximately

If you have any questions, please contact Brian Dykstra at 402-559-1977.  Since it is vital that everyone working in the affected areas be advised of the shutdown, please mention this interruption to your colleagues.
