Open house draws crowd

The McGoogan Library held a successful Open House on November 14, 2013.  The library introduced the combined Reference and Circulation desk, highlighted the Browzine app, and launched a reserved study carrel pilot project.  Over 125 people participated in the event:  80 stopped by the Browzine booth, 42 students entered the study carrel drawing, where four winners were randomly chosen.  Staff and faculty had many interactions with people at the combined desk, which has been dubbed the AskUs desk.

While great information was imparted, perhaps the most fun during the Open House were the souvenir photos, in which visitors photographed themselves with either a vintage gross anatomy group or the 1900 Omaha Medical College football team!
