    The faculty who have gotten published, and so many of them as first or sole author, are to be commended. Many times, members of the public think that the only work of the scholar is in the classroom, but while such work is of vital importance, it is of no lesser value to expand the field of human knowledge. That the UNMC faculty are committed to doing so is a point of pride for the institution.
