This is a national study using large database of EMR to show positive impact of health education by PAs and NPs. This is the peer-reviewed Preventing Chronic Disease online publication by the CDC.

UPDATE on March 21, 2014: This article has been their most popular article so far this month, receiving 2,129 page views since publication on March 6. That is a very high number having only been out 2 weeks, numbers typically seen more toward the very end of the month. There have also been mentions of the article in Medscape, Smart Brief, Fierce Healthcare, and MPR.
