PT faculty receive grant funding for stroke rehab

Kathleen G. Volkman, PT, MS, NCS, the primary investigator, along with Katherine Jones, PT, PhD, and two collaborators from Creighton, received the George Blanton Research Grant from the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. The purpose of their study, Improving Stroke Rehabilitation Across the Continuum of Care: Triangulating Perspectives of Interprofessional Groups of Healthcare Providers, is to (1) describe, interpret, and understand rural healthcare professionals’ perceptions of the structures and processes of stroke rehabilitation in rural communities in Nebraska, and (2) to identify priorities for and barriers to interprofessional team-based stroke rehabilitation.

Congratulations!
